Creating:
Applying the skills and language of a specific arts discipline, students will demonstrate the ability to create in the arts.

Experiment with a variety of art materials * Engage in the artistic techniques of drawing, printmaking, sculpting, collage, painting * Develop their understanding of color theory and the elements and principles of art * Generate, conceptualize and organize artistic ideas * Convey and Express their thoughts and ideas * Learn problem solving skills * Take artistic risks 

K-4 Students will:

• Understand and Apply the Elements of Art: Line, Color, Shape, Space, Form, Value, Texture
• Experiment with different art processes and media: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Collage, Printmaking...

5-8 Students will:

• Understand and apply Elements of Art and Principles of Design to a variety of media, techniques, and processes in order to create original and expressive works of art.
• Demonstrate willingness to experiment, innovate, and take risks to pursue ideas, forms, and meanings that emerge in the process of art-making or designing.
• Select, organize, and design images and words to make visually clear and compelling presentations.
